What does a tyre change cost in Almere?
At AutoJet in Almere, swapping over your seasonal wheels (4 complete wheels) costs €100. Wheel alignment (four wheels) is €90. For fitting and balancing loose tyres onto the rim, or for new tyres, we give you a clear quote in advance.
What is the difference between a tyre change and swapping over wheels?
With a seasonal wheel change (€100) we swap over your winter or summer set of complete wheels. If you have loose tyres without rims, we first fit and balance them onto the rim; we give you that price in advance. Just let us know what you have when you book your appointment.
When should I switch between winter and summer tyres?
A handy rule of thumb: fit winter tyres from around 7 °C (around October/November) and switch back to summer tyres in spring (around March/April). In cold and slippery conditions, winter tyres give shorter braking distances and more grip.
When do I need a wheel alignment?
Have a wheel alignment done if the car pulls to one side, the steering wheel sits off-centre or the tyres wear unevenly, for example after hitting a kerb or when fitting new tyres. A correct wheel alignment (€90) extends the life of your tyres.
What is the minimum legal tyre tread depth?
The legal minimum is 1.6 mm, but for winter tyres we recommend at least 4 mm for good grip. We measure your tread free of charge and tell you honestly if a replacement is not yet needed.

Do you swap winter and summer tyres?
Yes. If your winter or summer tyres are already on rims, we swap the wheels €25 per wheel (4 wheels €100). If the tyres need fitting onto the rims, €140 including balancing. Winter tyres are due for replacement below 4 mm of tread.
